How I work

Quotes and prices

Prices shown on this site are starting points for labour, in shekels. The final figure depends on the specifics of the job, which are listed on each service page. I'll confirm a price with you before starting work, and if something changes once I'm in there — a wall that isn't what it looked like, damp behind the plaster — I'll stop and tell you before carrying on, not afterwards.

Materials

Unless we've agreed otherwise, quoted prices cover labour. For jobs like painting or carpentry we agree the materials and the budget together beforehand.

Payment

Bit, PayBox or cash, on completion, unless we've agreed something else for a larger project. Longer jobs may be staged — agreed up front.

Access and timing

I'll need access to the space at the agreed time. If plans change, as much notice as you can manage is appreciated and I'll extend you the same courtesy.

I serve in the reserves. If I'm called up at short notice, you'll hear from me immediately with a realistic date, and you're free to go elsewhere — I won't hold you to a booking I can't keep.

If something isn't right

Tell me. If workmanship I'm responsible for has failed, I'll come back and put it right. That doesn't extend to normal wear, damage caused later, or a part that was faulty from the manufacturer — though I'll help you sort those out where I can.

Work I won't take on

Some jobs need a licensed professional, and some shouldn't be done at all until something else is fixed first. I'll say so plainly rather than take the work.
