In Israel, mini-split air conditioning units run for much of the year — and without proper cleaning they accumulate dust, bacteria and mould. That buildup doesn’t just hurt performance. It directly affects the air you breathe.
This is not a surface wipe or a filter rinse. I fully disassemble the indoor unit to clean and disinfect the internal components, remove mould buildup and restore clean airflow. Dirty filters and internal mould are common causes of headaches, respiratory irritation and unpleasant odours — especially in a hot, humid climate.
Annual cleaning is strongly recommended, both for your health and for the lifespan of the unit.

My AC smells when it turns on. Is that fixable?
Almost always. That smell is usually mould and bacteria inside the unit, and it's exactly what a proper deep clean removes.
